BSI supports organizations in Lebanon to start their ISO Transition journey
BSI, the business standards company, proud to host the ISO Transition Seminar held at Phoenicia Hotel, Beirut on 23 May 2017.
As the UK’s National Standards Body, appointed by HM Government to represent the UK in Europe and globally in matters of standards and a founding member of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), BSI helps organizations to embed resilience, helping them to grow sustainably, adapt to change, and prosper for the long term.
Over 65 senior officials attended BSI’s event focused on the latest updates on ISO Revision (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) and steps to take forward. The event kicked off last week and was aiming to guide and support organisations in Lebanon with their transition journey.
The keynote welcoming speech was delivered by H.E Hugo Shorter, UK Ambassador to Lebanon, who spoke about the importance of standards. Followed by Ahmad Al Kathib, General Manager Assurance – BSI Middle East and Africa who provided an overview on the key changes to the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards.Omar Rashid, General Manager Training and Professional Services BSI Middle East and Africa explained the transition journey, timings, as well as how BSI will support organizations throughout the process.
The event was attended by senior decisions makers, executives and managers of public and private organisations in Lebanon.
